Actress Octavia Spencer has big plans following her best supporting actress win on Oscar night, and they have nothing to do with the typical post-win boost some stars see.
No, as the "The Help" scene-stealer explained during a pre-win interview with TODAY's Al Roker, she's looking forward to a very different kind of boost.
"I love my body," Spencer explained. "I'm trying to get to an even more healthier weight, and I'm not trying to be a thin mint. I want to be a thick, chocolate mint. I also want to be sexy in my own eyes."
So to that end, Spencer plans to get a breast lift, or as she describes it, "I'm going to get my boobs stapled to my shoulders, so by the time I'm 70, they will drop to where they need to be."
And by the time next year's awards season kicks off "the Golden Globes will be golden."
Of course, cosmetic procedures to come weren't the only things on Spencer's mind. The actress also had plenty to say about a different subject close to her heart: Since playing the part of Minny Jackson in "The Help," she's become interested defending the real-life women who serve as domestic workers.
"Here's what I have to say to people who just sort of discount what domestics do, 'You're a dad, do you not cook for your kids? Do you not make them make their bed, brush their teeth, all of those things that domestics provide them with ? even unconditional love?' If we discount what these women did, even though it was for someone else's kids, in addition to their own, then we're really discounting our mothers, our fathers, our grandparents -- all the people that provide us with that type of love every single day," she said.
It's hard to argue with that logic.
